1. SCOPE:
This specification covers 11KV(Um=12KV) copper conductor XLPE insulated steel tape armoured
PVC sheathed cables generally in accordance with IEC 60502-2: 2005.
2. CONSTRUCTION:
A) Conductor:
Plain copper wire, circular compact stranded, Class 2 as per IEC 60228.
B) Conductor screen:
Extruded thermoset semi-conducting compound
C) Insulation:
XLPE
D) Insulation screen:
Extruded thermoset semi-conducting compound
E) Metallic screen:
Double copper tape overlap helix applied over the insulation screen
F) Filler:
Suitable filler with binding tape
G) Armour:
Double galvanized steel tape helix applied over the inner sheath
H) Sheath:
Black coloured PVC compound
I) Cable marking (by printed on sheath):
